★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Als Eisenstädter Stadtführer war ich sehr erstaunt als ich die Nachricht gelesen habe, dass der Pulverturm restauriert wird. Schließlich befand sich dieser Teil der historischen Stadtmauer sehr lange im Dornröschenschlaf und keiner wusste so genau was damit je passieren würde.
Nach der Fertigstellung der Sanierungsarbeiten kann man zu Recht sagen, dass ein Stück Eisenstädter Geschichte wieder lebendig geworden ist. Des Weiteren hat man auch einen direkten Zugang zur Domkirche gemacht. Auch dieser Teil ist sehr gelungen.
Wenn Sie nun in Eisenstadt sind, schauen Sie sich das einfach an. Draußen sowie innen befinden sich Informationstafeln über die historische Stadtmauer.
Fazit: ein Daumen hoch für Eisenstadt und wir freuen uns schon auf die nächsten Sanierungsarbeiten, denn einiges befindet sich noch im Dornröschenschlaf.
As an Eisenstadt city guide I was very surprised when I read the message that the powder tower is being restored. After all, this part of the historic city wall was in deep sleep for a very long time and nobody knew exactly what would happen to it.
After completion of the renovation work, it is fair to say that a piece of Eisenstadt's history has come to life again. Furthermore, one has also made a direct access to the cathedral. Also this part is very successful.
If you are in Eisenstadt, just take a look. Outside and inside there are information boards on the historic city wall.
Conclusion: a thumbs up for Eisenstadt and we are looking forward to the next renovation work, because some is still in deep sleep.
