Zudem erhält man auf Wunsch auch eine Beratung und Erklärung vom Besitzer selbst. A small, slightly remote, shop with interesting schnapps, liqueurs and two types of rum. A try is also possible. Wer in Hinterglemm ist, muss dort hin. Small but very nice. Brandies, spirits and liqueurs and a particularly good gin. Wir kaufen schon seit Jahren Schnaps, aber so was haben wir noch nicht erlebt! ! Impossible! Walked there on Saturday during opening hours! Nobody there! No response to multiple calls! Intense, fruity flavours with a smooth finish: no surprise he's won medals for his products. You can often watch the still in action. Not cheap, but worth it. Good range of supervised kosher spirits and liqueurs too.

The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about the craft and we tasted a variety of different schnapps and liqueurs. The cream liqueurs were my favourite. He is also very accommodating to English guests even though my husband is German. A lovely authentic experience!
