Great ambience, paired with an excellent cuisine, for which the chef / Birgit is passionate about it (homemade desserts), top and inexpensive wines, terrace views in summer!

Wir waren 10 Personen und jeder von uns war voll und ganz zufrieden. Einzig etwas Zeit und Geduld sollte man mitbringen. Aber davon hat man ja im Urlaub genug. Wir kommen sicher wieder. Very cozy atmosphere and an extensive and creative selection of dishes. You can tell: people like to cook imaginatively here. We were 10 people and each of us was completely satisfied. The only thing you should bring with you is a little time and patience. But you have enough of that on vacation. We'll be back for sure.
B	B GN on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das allerbeste Essen an der West Coast des Neusiedlersees bekommt man in diesem urigen Keller am Beginn der wunderschönen Purbacher Kellergasse. Birgit Sandhofer zaubert in dieser kleinen Küche wirklich alles, was verschiedene Herzen begehren - Herzhaftes mit gutem Bio-Fleisch und Fisch, aber auch Vegetarisches und Veganes. Auch für Kinder mit kleinem Hunger hat sie spontan Ideen, wie kürzlich die allerflaumigsten leeren Erdäpfelknödel mit ein bisschen Bratensaft. Ich musste mitessen ;) Ansonsten bin ich ein Fan von ihrem original burgenländischen Bohnenstrudel aus selbstgebackenem Teig, der mit saisonalem Salat serviert wird, und dem Flammkuchen mit Schafkäse. Das Beste: Frau Sandhofer bekocht auch bei Gästen daheim (zB zu Weihnachten). Ihr Mann betreibt einen feinen Pop-up-Imbissstand mit einigen ihrer Köstlichkeiten am Hafenbecken bei den Liegestühlen. Sommers gibt es auch einen Gastgarten (zum Teil über dem Keller), ganz Schlaue finden den Garten mit Hängematte. Wir kommen immer wieder!!!!!!! The very best food on the West Coast of Lake Neusiedl is available in this rustic cellar at the beginning of the beautiful Purbacher Kellergasse. In this small kitchen, Birgit Sandhofer really conjures up everything that different hearts desire - hearty dishes with good organic meat and fish, but also vegetarian and vegan dishes. She also has spontaneous ideas for children who are not very hungry, like recently the fluffiest empty potato dumplings with a little gravy. I had to eat with them;) Otherwise, I'm a fan of their original Burgenland bean strudel made from home-baked dough, which is served with a seasonal salad, and the tarte flambée with sheep cheese. The best: Ms. Sandhofer also cooks for guests at home (e.g. for Christmas). Her husband runs a fine pop-up snack stand with some of her delicacies by the deck chairs on the harbor basin. In summer there is also an outdoor dining area (partly above the basement), and the very clever ones will find the garden with a hammock. We keep coming back !!!!!!!

Hausgemachte Pita mit Mangohuhn oder Bohnenstrudel mit Coleslaw sind zwei (hervorragend schmeckende) Beispiele dafür. Die zum Kaffee angebotenen Kuchen (Mohnkuchen mit Himbeertopping, Apfel-Rahm-Torte) waren ein Gedicht. Die Preise sind fair (Kuchen 4,50, Pita und Strudel unter 10), das Service freundlich. Der kleine Schanigarten am Kellerplatz ist schon an sonnigen Wintertagen eine gute Wahl. Bei sommerlichem Vollbetrieb bietet zusätzlich zum Kellerlokal selbst noch eine Dachterrasse Platz zum Verweilen. Seit längerem eine Zufallswahl, die wir nicht bereut haben - ganz einfach, weil das Gesamtpaket gepasst hat. Even the menu shows that this is not a typical "Heurigen restaurant". Homemade pita with mango chicken or bean strudel with coleslaw are two (great tasting) examples of this. The cakes offered with the coffee (poppy seed cake with raspberry topping, apple and cream cake) were a dream. The prices are fair (cakes 4.50, pita and strudel under 10), the service is friendly. The small sidewalk café at Kellerplatz is a good choice, even on sunny winter days. In addition to the basement bar itself, a roof terrace offers space to linger during summertime. It has been a random choice for a long time, which we have not regretted - quite simply because the overall package was right.

Dadurch bekamen wir einen Tisch auf der wunderschönen Terasse/ am Dach des Hauses. Der weiße Spritzer schmeckte genauso gut wie der Sauvignon Blanc und der Cuvée. Aber das Beste waren die Speisen! Von der Genussplatte über die Tomaten-Marillensuppe bis hin zum Bohnenstrudel, der im Sesammantel gebackenen Blunzen oder den hausgemachten Bandnudel mit Wulker Rohschinken war alles TOP und absolut frisch! Die Portionen sind groß genug, dass ein ausgewachsener Mann mit 85 kg mit Vor- und Hauptspeise locker satt wird. Very good cuisine, attentive staff, reservations recommended! We visited the restaurant on Wednesday and reserved a table for 6pm. This gave us a table on the beautiful terrace / on the roof of the house. The white splash tasted just as good as the Sauvignon Blanc and the cuvée. But the best was the food! From the pleasure plate to the tomato-apricot soup to the bean strudel, the blunts baked in the sesame coat or the homemade ribbon pasta with Wulker raw ham, everything was TOP and absolutely fresh! The portions are large enough that a full-grown man with 85 kg with a starter and main course can easily get full.

Weine sind auch sehr lecker. Die Terrasse mit Weinrebendach ist extrem schön und ruhiger etwas abseits der anderen Heurigen. Wer nicht nur einen kleinen Snack zum Wein sucht, sondern auch gute Hauptmahlzeiten, ist hier bestens aufgehoben! Fantastic food, simple fish and meat dishes excellently prepared. There is even a choice for vegans (not just a salad). Wines are delicious too. The terrace with the vine roof is extremely beautiful and quieter a little apart from the other Heurigen. If you are not only looking for a small snack with wine, but also good main meals, this is the place for you!
