Unfortunately, you don't get change here, but a credit on the receipt. Especially stupid if you live 100 km away.

Hatte heute keinen Druck auf Lanze - bei telefonischer Fehlermeldung hieß es: "...war grad vor drei Minuten dort - hat alles funktioniert. Ich komme vorbei."
erst nach nochmaligen Anruf, dass jetzt sämtliche Boxen keinen Druck mehr hatten, machte man sich auf den Weg.
Nach ca. 20 min Warterei war das Geld weg und Auto schmutzig.
Hoffentlich war das ein Einzelfall.
I've been happy to drive so far.
Had no pressure on Lance today - when I got an error message on the phone it said: "...was there just three minutes ago - everything worked. I'll come by."
only after another call that all the boxes were no longer under pressure did they set off.
After about 20 minutes of waiting, the money was gone and the car was dirty.
Hopefully that was an isolated case.
