★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir sind schon ein paar Jahre Kundschaft beim Hochstrasser. Ganz ganz liebe Familie und der Schnaps erst einfach köstlich. Meine Geschwister sind auch schon Kunden der Fam. Hochstrasser. Schnaps kann man nur empfehlen.
 We have been a customer of Hochstrasser for a few years. Very dear family and the schnapps is simply delicious. My siblings are already customers of the Hochstrasser family. One can only recommend schnapps.

Like every year a fixed appointment on vacation! Very good brandies, simply delicious, the 1000 km are worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hier gibt es wirklich wunderbare Edelbrände, Weine, Schnaps, Gin und neuerdings auch sehr guten Rum. In herrlichem Ambiente findet sich in diesem tollen Geschäft für jeden Geschmack etwas. Meine gesamte Familie ist mittlerweile Stammkundschaft! :)
There are really wonderful brandies, wines, schnapps, gin and recently also very good rum. In a wonderful ambience, there is something for every taste in this great shop. My entire family is now a regular customer! :)

I stumbled upon this by chance, or rather I was taken there by locals. It was the best food I had in a while, but a bit more pricey (main dishes start at 13€, although there is always a lunch offer for around 10€ including a soup).
Looking at the restaurant from the outside and also the inside, you would not expect this kind of fancy food there, but rather traditional “Heurigen” (Austrian tavern) like food.
The restaurant is connected to a shop, where they sell their own gin, snaps and other stuff they brewed together.
And in the inner court is the new brewer, which is open to visit and learn about their brewery a bit.
About the food:
The main dish was very good- best spring potatoes I had in this season (due to the dryness we had a very bad potatoes crop)... but my favourites were definitely the desert
- gin tonic ice cream: never had it and I absolutely love gin. So just amazing! ?
- strawberry dumplings with strawberry ice cream: the dough was so soft and fluffy and the ice cream so fresh.
So all in all, definitely worth visiting on the way to Graz, but be aware of the food being a bit more pricey (main dishes starting at 12€
