★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place as a basecamp for hikes in the Hochschwab mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the food was great even though the chef was out on the day when we were there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived very late by motorbike and even though bookings were tight they provided a room for us and even had the kitchen open another hour so we could have some dinner after a long trip.
Breakfast selection was limited (bread/buns, ham, boild eggs, cheese, some veg and some muesli-options), but it was plentiful and the quality was excellent. Price for the room was a bit high for the very rural area (absolutely no cell-phone reception), but it was the middle of the busiest season for them.
While the services personell didn't seem super experienced or fast, they were all very pleasant and helpful. The owner is a particularly easy going gentleman, I highly suggest you get some recommendations for hiking routes from him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OMG. What a gem! So clean and comfy, such great food. The best breakfast I ever had in a hotel. So friendly people, such a difference from the people in Vienna. Such a great weekend escape. Can't recommend it enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Starting and end point of many tours, long (5 hours) and short (90 minutes). You can enjoy the Water museum, take your kids to the short ant trail, gaze back at cows and enjoy great food. Perfect Saturday or Sunday. Massive Parking nearby.
