Definetly not a 5 star hotel! The room was dirty, bad smell ,old(actually very old:) furniture.Bathroom was a 2 star like. The only good thing about this hotel was the parking close and cheap.I would never return here and wouldn't recomand. Not worth the money

Beautiful hotel with bigger rooms. They maintained the place and room clean. Very good customer service too. The breakfast is just fine.

As Marriott/ Bonvoy lifetime member this is the first time in 20 years that I had such a bad experience in a hotel. Totally incapable staff not knowing that THE Triest is member of Bonvoy, not knowing what it means if you are a Titanium member, treating you like an idiot… than bringing you to a junior suite which smells like hell that even the hotel staff immediately brought me back to reception and than now today at check out not able to write the correct adress on the invoice although I provided my business card and than not beeing able to adjust it „we need to leave that as I cannot change it in the system anymore.“ Each Moxy is a 6 star hotel compared to this hostel.

The hotel does not guarantee a pleasant rest, during check-in we were misled about the price of the stay. The price on Booking.com portals and the hotel website, which we expected was a different amount, in the end we were cheated for around 150 euros The prices on Booking.com are different than those offered by the hotel and it is high a differenc. In addition, after a whole day of travel at 11 pm the light in the room was broken, it was on all the time, so it was impossible to sleep, the service suggested a different room, worse because from the street side - you could hear the trams, of course the whole transfer procedure took about 1 hour. Breakfast correct. Parking available at an additional cost. Don't be fooled. I am very sorry to have been treated like this.

I spent 2 nights at the Das Triest in a Superior Room at the end of December. Overall, I had a good stay but my expectations fell short. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the room was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed. The view over the courtyard was beautiful and the wifi speeds were good enough to conduct Zoom meetings. The only negative in regards to the room was the bathtub, which LOOKS gorgeous but unfortunately, the drain was broken and the water would constantly drain out, making it impossible to take a bath. Which is a shame since I brought a bath bomb to use. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member and stayed at this hotel specifically to use some of my points. During check-in, the staff seemed uninterested, did not provide any "extra" information about the hotel/location/city, did not acknowledge that I was a Marriott Bonvoy member and were unable to verify whether my stay came with breakfast or not. In fact, the person who checked me in asked if I could come back later to ask someone else because he didn't know how to check. I was staying at the hotel over my birthday and later found out that my boyfriend had actually contacted the hotel during my stay to find out if he could pay for a meal at the restaurant or have them send something up to my room and the staff said it was impossible. With so many other hotels in Vienna, many of which are in this price range, I would not choose to stay at the Das Triest again. If you are interested in the location, check out the nearby Hotel Beethoven Wien or Hotel Am Konzerthaus. If you are interested in staying at a Marriott property, consider the Le Meridien.

Positives: the bed was very comfortable and the shower was absolutely amazing! The location close to the old town is convenient and you can easily walk to a lot of attractions. Very quiet part of town and easy to walk or catch public transportation. Negatives: we perceived the staff was less than friendly but perhaps this is cultural? Regardless it had the consequence that we did not feel particularly welcome when interacting with the front desk. The breakfast is your typical European hotel breakfast but it’s very expensive. There are a lot of great breakfast places in the area which will serve you a nice breakfast for way less. The Nespresso machine in our flat was broken but the staff was kind enough to provide a pot of coffee for us.

Great location and friendly staff, always trying to be of service and accomodating. Location is of no doubt as it's a short walk to everything. I thought it might be loud as it seemed so busy outside, but it's not at all. Rooms are very comfortable with great bathrooms and great designs. Could use thicker, firmer pillows is my sole complaint!

We are unable to travel due to a bereavement of a close family member 3 days before. We contacted the hotel to explain and asked to move the dates. They refused and charged us the full price for 5 nights even though we couldn't stay at all. Completely disgraceful - they would do nothing at all to try to accommodate us
