★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I call it the perfect equilibrium of a gorgeous Spa after a long alpine hike, Luxury in a rugged mountainside and a fancy 6 course dinner made of the finest local ingredients.
The service is great, rooms are large with a gorgeous view and u have a plethora of pillows to choose from making the nights perfect.
I have rarely been to hotels where I felt so relaxed. usually u have luxury hotel chains with employees ranging from disengaged to terrorized. or 3 star family hotels where u compromise on comfort. Here, we enjoyed both. the Schäfers are extremely passionate, helpful and always present. both mountain guides, they offer guided hikes every day (highly recommended).
the region has lots of cheese and milk bars, a biosphere reserve and loads of trails.
Yet, the greatest of all features here is that if anything happens to you, the Schäfers take real good care of you....and I got to know first hand.
So for sure I highly recommend this place. winter, fall and summer! as a couple or a group (No kids), its guaranteed awsomeness. and I will go back again

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel is surrounded by beautiful Alps and in a short distance from skiing areas. The rooms are clean and spacious. The spa & pool area is a great add-on and allows guests to relax. The food is tasty and the choice is relatively good. Overall we had a very good impression, but there are things that could be improved. Since we could not extend our stay for a couple of hours (the hotel was fully booked) and we still wanted to ski a little, we simply asked whether it is possible to take a quick shower before we continue our journey. There was NO option...that was a little surprising as many hotels we visited so far always came up with a solution (remember that this hotel has a pool area with many showers :-)). Second thing is that we had a feeling that there may be a different treatment or customer-care related to your age. Being relatively young, we did notice different type of service being (or not) offered to different people. All in all, we do recommend this hotel, but we also think that people who work there should respond to the customers' expectations in a better way.
