★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was soll ich sagen. Ohne Worte. Das beste Sushi, das ich jemals gegessen habe. Mit einheimischen Fischen! Eine Komposition an Geschmacksaromen, die man mit Worten einfach nicht beschreiben kann. Da schlägt ein Sushi Freund Herz Purzelbäume. Und vor allem das Ambiente direkt beim Wasser ist sehr passend zu dem, was die Küche bietet. Die Getränkeauswahl ist auch grandios. Ohne Worte - wir kommen wieder.
 What can I say. Without words. The best sushi I have ever eaten. With local fish! A composition of flavors that you just can not describe with words. Since a sushi friend proposes heart somersaults. And above all the ambience directly at the water is very suitable to what the kitchen offers. The beverage selection is also terrific. Without words - we will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was immaculate and deserves 5 stars! I only had a main course - and the chef prepared it according to my dietary needs. But the experience as a whole left me with a stale aftertaste. Traveling -and eating-alone, it was yet another place where the table for the „one guest only“ stood in the very back of the eating space. As a restaurant with such an upscale reputation, there was no „greeting from the kitchen“ nor was I asked if I wanted water with my drink. Other than with the „fuller“ tables, there was hardly any attention to whether I wanted to order another drink (only when the food was served) etc. The area of Weissensee, which I absolutely adore, has still a long way to go with regards to making solo travelers feel as welcome as couples, families, groups of friends. Bootshaus is no exception.
