★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place overall but view from the bike trail (major attraction) very limited - can see neither the Danube nor the Au (swamp) for 99 percent of the time (you do however see fields and trees and not much else!!)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited the park on my way from Vienna to Bratislava by inflatable kayak. We got out in Haslau. What's behind the main river is very pretty. It's a floodplain for when the water levels are higher than when I visited. At the time of visiting (summer), the water was very very low. There's a ferry that will take you across for €4 (bike is an extra €1). Haslau is quite a hike uphill from the shores.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place and absolutely worth a visit. I also took a guided tour with the Rangers and learnt so much about the Danube, as well as Lower Austria's native fauna and flora.
If you dont knowbwhere to visit with your children, you should come here. Especially if you live in Vienna, it's very to easy to reach by public transportation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful nature, good cycling and also pederestian paths, some bufets or even bigger garden restaurants (nice one particularly in Orth on the river side). Paths are well sign posted and next to each parking place or some crossing or otherwise important place there are also boards with maps and some explanations about nature. Overall you can spend here enjoyable days.

Forest with small lakes, hidden places, peaceful and quiet, ideal for taking you family and loved ones for a romantic picnic.
Ideal for long walks, or discovering the beautiful Lobau by bike
