★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place to spend occasional daytrips or even full-fledged journeys in one of the cozy rooms available for accommodation. Surrounded by the multifaceted, multi-species family including dogs, alpacas and a overwhelmingly forthcoming owner. All embedded in a picturesque landscape that the whole family can enjoy!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We found the Cria Valley Alpacas by chance last year, although I understand they're also part of the Genusskarte scheme. Although we didn't participate in the trekking, we spent a relaxed hour admiring and being introduced to all of the alpacas, ducks and geese, by our very charming host, and owner of the business, Philip Ranson. After walking through the meadows we returned to the spacious terrace for an ice cold drink in the shade before, with Philip's permission, cutting some of the seed pods off the beautifully coloured hollyhocks.
This place is almost in the middle of nowhere and is wonderfully peaceful and restful. Next year we're planning on going back to stay in the gorgeous bed and breakfast that makes up part of this site.
Absolutely worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an amazing time at Cria Valley Alpacas. Philip is the kindest, sweetest, friendliest and most chilled guy you could ever meet. The perfect host! His alpaca dream is a paradise for those he welcomes there. You get to meet his alpaca family, as well as watch them out on the meadow. He also has two donkeys, chickens, geese and three dogs. Everything is very happy and relaxed on his farm. We made a hike in the forest behind the house with the Alpacas, which was an amazing experience.
The ensuite bedrooms are really spacious and clean, with a shared balcony that looks over the meadow where you can see the alpacas and donkeys. A vegetarian breakfast is included. You also have access to a big lounge and kitchen with a cute little library/workspace area. I love how the bedrooms and living spaces are decorated. Everything makes you feel at home. When we stayed, the other available room wasn't rented out, so we had the whole space to ourselves (which is the whole top floor of Philip's house).
If you can pull yourself away from the peace, tranquility and overwhelming cuteness of the alpacas and donkeys, there are many things to do near to the farm...Zotter chocolate factory, castle, hiking, restaurants, small lake, wineries and cheese makers.
Big tip: don't miss a peak inside Philip's shop, where you can find many lovely items that have been handmade by his super talented mum and her friend with the wool from Philip's alpacas, and lots of cool alpaca pottery and ceramics made by his very talented artist friends, as well as alpaca wool duvets, shoe insoles, soaps and clothes.
Thanks Philip, for welcoming us to your farm and allowing us to share two days of your alpaca dream. We will definitley be back! ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We made a small hike and decided to stop by. We found the website online and called to check if anyone was in. Philip was very generous with his time and took us around to show us all the alpacas (and donkeys!). It’s a super picturesque area, nice for a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience. Renting rooms for a family is very comfortable. In addition to the sleeping rooms there is a spacious living room and kitchen. Strongly recommend combining with a tour of the chocolate factory. The alpacas and the chocolate make for an extraordinary memorable and enjoyable weekend trip from Vienna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing. Really a hidden gem in a beautiful region of Austria. Highly recommended to visit for all animal lovers. And if you are lucky enough to rent the upstairs apartment, the hospitality is top notch.
