Chalet Moeller - Amundsenstraße 5

Very nice and cosy. Service is excellent and staff is very friendly. The food variety is quite modest though and is not tasty enough (that's why only OK), but it's a matter of taste..?

We've been there in summer and it was excellent. We went again and sorry to say - service still was very good but the food was more than average. We where four for us an nobody was really happy. We try again next year ;-)

What a nice location for a restaurant! In the middle of woods, beautifully designed, great atmosphere. We loved the menu offer and also chosen dishes were up to our expectations - vegetable curry, wiener schnitzel and prawns. What we did not enjoy is the way from the parking lot to the restauranr - there is no crossing and you have to really wait some time until cars pass and you can cross the road. What had spoiled the whole impression for us was the service - it was bellow the restaurant level. The waiter could not explain allergens and brought a photocopied menu instead, completelly forgot our second beer, did not offer any deserts, no wine or refill of water. But he saved us money ?

Very average food with friendly but incompetent service. The dinner was rushed even though we specifically asked not to hurry. The starter arrived almost immediately even before the wine. Then we asked again to make a break before the main course. Once they asked if they can start preparing the main course and we said yes, the dishes arrived in 2 minutes meaning that they were not freshly prepared but sitting there waiting to be served. In general the food was very very average. The wine list is small, uninteresting and way overpriced. Overall not worth 150 euro for 2 without dessert. Vienna has so much more to offer!

We went last week with friends for lunch to Chalet Moeller. We had reserved a table outside, but instead they gave us a table next to the toilet. This was already a rather bad start. They had tables available outside on the terrace but not for us. The restaurant was quite full and the waiters seemed rather overwhelmed by the amount of people that wanted to order at the same time. At the price level of this restaurant this is just simply not acceptable. The waitress who brought us our drinks seemed not to be able to serve properly handing the drinks over the table and not pouring any water. Again for that price level you expect something different. The first course, beef tartare and a soup was good but the main course was just bad. The tuna steak of my wife was swimming in fat and the tuna itself was fatty. Never had that before. Seems just cheap and bad quality. I had the octopus and same here, seasoning was off and it seemed that they wanted to drown it in fat. For the prices they ask here it is just not good enough. My wife decided to write a complaint the same day to the owner and chef Mr. Moeller expressing how disappointed we have been, 5 days later still no reaction!!! If you expect food and service that is at the level of someone who learned cooking with the best of the best including the only 3 star chef in Austria you will be badly disappointed and it is wiser to choose a different place. Other wise expect to get charged like in on of the top restaurants and receive food and service that can not live up to this standard by miles. For us this was the last visit to Chalet Moeller!

Beautiful place with absolutely excellent food and very polite staff. In summer the outdoor terrace is very inviting for after work drinks, dinner or both :) The desserts are outstanding!
