Nach meiner Scheidung 2013 hatte ich alles verloren, Familie, Haus, viele persönliche Sachen, ich war ausgestoßen. Auf dem Land gab es keine soziale Hilfestellung, gar nichts.Obdachlosigkeit war vorprogrammiert. Ich war dann insgesamt 2 Jahre im Ausland und konnte mir dort leider keine Existenz aufbauen. Meine Mutter in Wien, bei der ich vorübergend untergekommen bin und die mich im Notfall ein wenig unterstützt hat, ist dann auch noch gestorben, als ich zurückgekommen war. In der Hauptstadt habe ich dann soziale Hilfe erhalten, zuerst eine vorübergehende Wohnmöglichkeit und dann Housing First von der Caritas. Ein netter Sozialarbeiter hat mir dort geholfen, eine Genossenschaftswohnung zu übernehmen, Möbel zu organisieren, einfach alles mögliche, um wieder ein eigenständiges Leben zu ermöglichen. Danke dafür !

After my divorce in 2013, I had lost everything, family, house, a lot of personal things, I was outcast. In the country there was no social help, nothing at all, homelessness was inevitable. I was then abroad for a total of 2 years and unfortunately I was unable to establish myself there. My mother in Vienna, with whom I stayed temporarily and who supported me a little in an emergency, also died when I came back. In the capital I received social help, first temporary housing and then Housing First from Caritas. A nice social worker there helped me to take over a flat in a cooperative, to organize furniture, just about everything to enable an independent life again. Thanks for that !
