Camping Seespitze

Always a pleasure. Updated reception and kiosk. Beautiful surroundings. It's a shame there's so much traffic allowed around the Plansee: noisy bikers , flashy auto rally's and disturbing racing vibes. Such a contrast with the amazing landscape. This camping and it's surroundings deserves better!

We drove three hours to get to this campsite only to realize that it was completely booked out for the whole weekend we planned on staying (entirely our own fault for not making reservations!) The owner, however, was kind enough to make an exception for the night and let us pitch our tent in a cozy little spot with a fantastic view of the lake. So thankful for that and somewhat disappointed we didn't get to stay longer with how beautiful it was! The bathrooms were clean and the restaurant looked lovely as well. Would gladly go back next year...with reservations this time, haha.

Beautiful campsite with a great view as the plots are tiered, more expensive than most campsites but facilities are clean and lovely. The lake is just across the road with a stunning view of the mountains and if you cross the bridge there is a lovely lakeside walk.

Beautiful site with clean facilities, good food at the restaurant and a great atmosphere. We spent three very happy lakeside days in and out of the water. Would have stayed longer if we could!

A view like this you won't get on many campsites! Very nice and cozy places, also a nice thing to know is that you can rent a kayak to go onto the lake! The toiletbuilding isn't the nicest, main problem is that the showers don't have enough place to hang things. Or a seperated part to keep your clothes dry.

What a disappointment... We were really looking forward to our Stop at the Plansee on our way back to Germany. The photos of the views from Camping Seespitze looked spectacular, the weather was perfect, it was set to be a great weekend. Or so we thought... We had booked many months in advance for a weekend stay, and even had a day trip for the Saturday planned, but our experience after only one night made us cut everything short, and drive home early. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very standoffish and eager to send us off to our pitch with no questions asked. We soon understood why. Our pitch was nothing like the photos online of beautiful staggered pitches overlooking the lake, but instead we were given a muddy patch right at the bottom of the campsite beside the busy road. The only views we had were of a patchy hedge, and the only sounds were the endless drone of motorbikes racing past us only a few meters away. In the evening the traffic eased, and we thought we could at least have a quiet night before the traffic started again in the morning. Unfortunately for us, the 10pm "quiet time" seemed to be more of a guideline than a rule, as our neighbors were drinking beers, playing music and shouting till about 2am... The first bikes started racing past at about 6am, and that was it for our "quiet night's sleep". Stepping out of the camper, exhausted and straight onto the muddy floor below, it was decided that we had to leave early. We of course told the reception about our sleepless night, but they were completely unsympathetic and said we should have sorted it out with our drunk neighbors ourselves... Of course no compensation or apologies were offered. I don't believe I have ever felt so unwelcome at a camping site. Thank you for ruining our weekend at the Plansee. Pros: - Clean & Modern Sanitary Facilities Cons: - Unsympathetic staff - Huge variation in pitch quality ( Tip: Do not accept pitches 34 to 36) - Quiet hours are ignored completely - Kiosk was quite expensive, the food incredibly basic and it was far too salty - Directly beside a very busy road

Definitely would come again and definitely would recommend. There are enough showers, toilets and sinks. There's also electricity sockets available. Lastly, the view, the view was the icing on the top!!! The lake is perfect for swimming in the summer and perfect place to go for jogs and hikes. Aaron Delucoire XXX

Very good indeed. Perfect location. Very clean WC and shower facilities. Easy chech - in . Kind reception. Enjoyed staying there and having breakfast with beautifull sight of Alps. Wish we could stay longer and have a bike ride around the lake or hired a kayak to go into the lake‼️?
