Best Campground in austria

L	L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice when the right mix of people are there, but when you get some of the motor campers treating it like a human zoo it can get very dirty. Helpful people running it, clean it in the morning so get there early, has a pool, 3.70 euro 24hr all city tickets available at reception. Good pool, coffee and food available at reception. Some laundry facilities. Reception normally closes around 8.

In the reception building you could order home-made zemel (small tasty bread) for breakfast, there is accommodated a tiny market for things like milk, cheese, butter etc.

M	Mathilde Kennis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very decent camping worth the price. Pitches are maybe a little bit small, but well seperated by hedges, providing lots of shade. Sanitary facilities are clean and the pool is very enjoyable. The camping is not too big, so it has a nice atmosphere.

Great access to Salzburg city by bus or bike (4 buses per hour, 2 minutes walk to bus stop or 15 minute cycle along a babbling brook and the river Salzach), despite feeling like you are in the countryside. Layout of the site is great with varying size of pitches, lots of shade from trees and pitches separated nicely by rough hedgerows. One wash/toilet area under owners house provides wash rooms, toilets, showers and sinks for washing pans; all clean and tidy - maybe a little more regular cleaning of sinks would silence the critics, but they were well maintained. Very rustic site with lovely gardens, pool, small kids play area and terrace for a relaxed drink. Prices for beers and provisions quite reasonable. In short it gave us a totally relaxed and enjoyable mini-break. We will be back. Thanks for your hospitality.

Bus stop very close (100m), you can buy tickets from the reception and bus goes directly to the old town. Facilities were very clean and staff helpful and friendly. Very good base to explore Salzburg.
