Ok campsite because of proximity to so many hike and bike routes.

Good place to rent e-bikes. Staff is very friendly and bikes were good.

The facilities need to be expanded for the number of spots, and having no privacy when showering is not for everyone. Great location though and spots are ok

I stayed for nine days with a tent and overall was quite happy. The owners were friendly and laid back and the sanitary facilities were clean and modern. The space is rather made for RVs but as I spent my days hiking that was OK with me. A disadvantage is the noise from the road that goes through Scharnitz and has a lot of traffic. It's far enough off so that it won't keep you awake but it's not idyllic and quiet.

Tiny but good campsite. Excellent toilets but showers are kind of weird and not private. Great coin laundry. Hard to put your tent up due to many rocks in the soil. Friendly owners. Good place to stop for a night.

Really friendly and relaxed campsite staff. Stayed whilst cycle touring Austria. Nice small site, very quiet when we stayed. Lovely clean showers, no extra charge for hot water, washing machine and drier very cheaper to use. Modern bathrooms. Great pizza place in town. Amazing scenery!

A fantastic experience. We've been touring through Europe since November and been to many good places, but this one has been by far the best. Firstly, it's a really good site with modern, clean and well maintained facilities. It's also in a beautiful location with lots to do. More than all of that though, the hosts and the local people are the most friendly and helpful we've met anywhere so far. We will be back for sure.

Positive points: nicely located with mountains around, modern sanitary facilities, good starting point for hikers, cyclists and climbers. After around 21:30h it is quiet and peaceful. Negative points: the camping spaces aren't marked, so you don't have a plot. The fields available are being crammed full of people, making it very crowded, while there are only two bathrooms and two/three showers available for women, I expect around that amount also for the men. There are no separate shower cabins or clothing cabins. So don't expect privacy both on your camping space or the showers. There also seem to be no rules on how/where to camp. One night the campsite was so full, we couldn't even get our car away from it if we wanted, another night the campsite turned into a playing ground for kids who brought their skateboards and snowboard exercise equipment, skating over the campsite where other people walked and walking through personal camping spaces to take the quickest route to the skiing slope that neighbors the camping - not the camping etiquette we're used to. Though the facilities are very modern, they're not the cleanest - big pile of dust on the tiles in the bathroom for example and the toilets aren't ventilated that well, causing odors. The price is okay for the area, comparable to other campsites around, but for us too expensive seeing that it didn't meet up to our expectations, so we left a day early.
