★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love Cafe Kandl. I came here twice during a trip to Vienna and the food and wine was great both times. Their menu changes frequently. Try the Corpse Reviver no 2 - fabulous cocktail. Reservations recommended. Nice to sit out back in the garden in favorable weather.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting concept, short but convincing menu. A bit overpriced for what you get. Only bio- wines, matter of taste (I personally don’t like) but also too expensive. Starting from around 6 eur per glass - that’s too much.
In the nutshell, solid 4*. Definitely an option to consider.

A relaxed and cozy atmoshphere, in combination with a super welcoming host, kind and super knowledgable staff and a constantly changing menu of special plates. Everything just seems really considered without trying. Makes this place feel like a real treat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food and wine, we had a great dinner here during our trip to Vienna. Really casual atmosphere and great vibe. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Tons of natural wine options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is small and casually decorated. We ordered many dishes of food but they kept insisting that we order more. To top off the desperation of the service they kept telling us that we didn’t have much time left, we arrived at 6pm and they wanted us out by 8 pm. We barely had time to finish our wine when they basically cleared out our table and asked us to leave. Worse service experience I’ve ever had. Won’t be coming back. Food average. Wine ok.
