Jahrhundert errichtet und im Jahr 1467 zerstört, danach wieder hergestellt und kam im Jahre 1607 in den Besitz der Familie Batthyany. Seit Mitte des 17. Jahrhunderts verfällt die Burg. Die Burgruine zeigt einen fünfeckigen Grundriss mit Mauerresten mit spitzbogigen Öffnungen. Im Burghof ist eine circa 40 m tiefe mit Quadern ausgekleidet Zisterne. Im angrenzenden Wald sind weitere Reste einer Vorburg, eines Grabens und Befestigungen erkennbar. The castle ruin is the ruin of a hilltop castle on the Buchberg in Neuhaus in Burgenland. The castle was built in the 14th century and destroyed in 1467, then restored and in 1607 became the property of the Batthyany family. Since the middle of the 17th century, the castle has fallen into decay. The castle ruins show a pentagonal floor plan with remnants of walls with pointed arched openings. In the castle courtyard is a cistern about 40 m deep lined with blocks. In the adjacent forest are more remnants of a bailey, a moat and fortifications recognizable.

S	Stephan Braun on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eine sehr kleine Burgruine. Der Aufstieg ist leicht und führt an einem Friedhof vorbei. Man hat einen tollen und weiten Blick über das Land. Es gibt nicht viel zu sehen, allerdings ist es dennoch faszinierend. Besonders beeindruckend ist der Brunnen im Inneren. Dieser ist wirklich sehr tief. Für eine kleine abendliche Tour ist die Ruine sehr zu empfehlen. A very small castle ruin. The ascent is easy and leads past a cemetery. You have a great and wide view over the country. There is not much to see, but it is still fascinating. Particularly impressive is the fountain inside. This one is really deep. For a small evening tour, the ruin is highly recommended.
