★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unmittelbar an der Grenze zu Tschechien und oberhalb des Schwarzenbergschen Schwemmkanals, in der wunderbaren Landschaft des oberen Mühlviertel, befindet sich der Burghügel der ehemaligen Wehranlage. Über die Entstehung der Burg ist leider nichts überliefert, lediglich dass die Anlage im Jahre 1427 durch die aus Böhmen eindringenden Hussiten erobert und zerstört wurde.
Da die Ruine als Steinbruch benutzt wurde und unter anderem auch beim Bau der Pfarrkirche von St.Oswald bei Haslach, das Steinmaterial Verwendung fand, sind heute keine erkennbaren Reste vorhanden. Lediglich den Burghügel und ein Burggraben ist noch gut erkennbar.
 Immediately on the border with the Czech Republic and above the Schwarzenberg canal, in the wonderful landscape of the upper Mühlviertel, is the castle hill of the former weir system. Unfortunately nothing is known about the origin of the castle, only that the complex was conquered and destroyed in 1427 by the Hussites invading from Bohemia.
Since the ruin was used as a quarry and the stone material was also used in the construction of the parish church of St. Oswald near Haslach, there are no recognizable remains today. Only the castle hill and a moat are still clearly visible.
