★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bei der Burgruine Malenthein auch Preißenegg genannt handelt es sich um eine mittelalterlichen Höhenburg auf etwa 1000 m über dem Meeresspiegel und oberhalb der Ortschaft Kühweg in 9620 Hermagor gelegen. Die Burg wurde im 11. Jahrhundert errichtet, aber bereits im 14. Jahrhundert dem Verfall preisgegeben.
Aufgrund des Verfalls durch die Jahrhunderte existieren heute nur noch ein etwa acht Meter langer und vier bis fünf Meter hoher Mauerzug sowie einzelne niedrigere Reste von Innenmauern und Reste der Ringmauern. Die Koordinaten der Burgruine: N 46°37.380 E 13°21.805
 The castle ruin Malenthein also called Preißenegg is a medieval hilltop castle at about 1000 m above sea level and located above the village Kühweg in 9620 Hermagor. The castle was built in the 11th century, but abandoned to decay in the 14th century.
