r	robinreindl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sehr nette, liebevoll restaurierte Burgruine. Der Eintrittsgeld zum Erhalt dieser ist angemessen. Very nice, lovingly restored castle ruins. The entrance fee to receive this is reasonable.
w	wimsbacha on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Großartig was hier geleistet wurde, aus einer Verwachsenen Ruine wurde ein Burgerlebnis erster Klasse geschaffen. Besonders der renovierte Bergfried ist grandios. Nicht nur wegen der Aussicht (der höchste Burgturm Kärntens) sondern auch wegen der tollen Ausstellung mit den Fundobjekten der Burg. Die Art und Weise wie die Burg renoviert wurde und wird, ist beispielhaft und sollte Schule machen. Ich komme wieder ! Great what was done here, a first class burger experience was created from an overgrown ruin. The renovated keep is particularly magnificent. Not only because of the view (the highest castle tower in Carinthia) but also because of the great exhibition with the found objects of the castle. The way in which the castle was and is being renovated is exemplary and should set an example. I'll be back !
P	Peter Waldl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waren mit der Volksschule SÖRG dort. Den Kindern hat es sehr gut gefallen. Tolle Führung, toller Ausblick und später herrlich zum Entspannen. Der Burgherr ist sehr engagiert und die Kinder von seinen Erzählungen begeistert! Absolut FAMILIENTAUGLICH :) Were there with the elementary school SÖRG. The children liked it very much. Great tour, great view and later wonderful to relax. The lord of the castle is very committed and the children are enthusiastic about his stories! Absolutely FAMILY-FRIENDLY :)

Der sympathische und engagierte Burgherr höchstpersönlich führte uns durch die mächtige Befestigung. Er hatte die weithin sichtbare mittelalterliche Wehranlage vor einiger Zeit gepachtet und in mühevoller Arbeit revitalisiert. Mit Fokus auf die wechselvolle Geschichte und die Wiederherstellung des ursprünglichen Zustands. Ergänzt um einige moderne Elemente, wie einem Skywalk mit atemberaubender Aussicht von den Karawanken bis zu den Karnischen Alpen sowie einem spannenden Escape-Room. Das Herzstück der Burg befindet sich im markanten, 6-stöckigen Turm: das Museum, welches das "neues Leben in alten Gemäuern" nacherzählt. Dazu gab es spannende Anekdoten, (bau-)geschichtliche Fakten, interessante Ausgrabungen uvm. - Liebenfels ist ein Juwel. Eine absolute Ausflugsempfehlung für die ganze Familie. Und: Unbedingt die Burgherren-Führung buchen! ;-) Yesterday we were guests at Liebenfels Castle in beautiful Carinthia. The personable and committed lord of the castle personally guided us through the mighty fortification. Some time ago he had leased the medieval fortification, which was visible from afar, and laboriously revitalized it. With a focus on the eventful history and the restoration of the original state. Supplemented by some modern elements, such as a skywalk with a breathtaking view from the Karawanken to the Carnic Alps and an exciting escape room. The heart of the castle is in the striking, 6-story tower: the museum, which tells the "new life in old walls". There were also exciting anecdotes, (building) historical facts, interesting excavations and much more. - Liebenfels is a gem. An absolute recommendation for a trip for the whole family. And: Be sure to book the lords' tour! ;-)
B	Big “Big Matze” Matze on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tolle Burgruine mit einer erhaltenden Art der Restoration. Umfassende und sehr aufschlussreiche Dokumentation. Sehr nette ad-hoc Führung eines Mitarbeiters im Palas und später oben im Turm. Gigantische Aussicht. War für uns den Besuch auf jeden Fall wert. Great castle ruins with a conserving type of restoration. Comprehensive and very informative documentation. Very nice ad-hoc leadership of an employee in the hall and later up in the tower. Gigantic view. It was definitely worth the visit for us.
