Ach ja, die Besitzerin ist um die 80 und wohnt in München. ?‍♂ From a purely external perspective, it appears to be an unkempt privately owned castle. I couldn't find out more. Um das Jahr 1455 wurde ein Großteil der alten Burg abgetragen und eine komplett neue Festungsanlage errichtet. Im Jahre 1866 wurden große Teile der Anlage durch ein Feuer vernichtet, alle hölzernen Teile und sogar der Dachstuhl der inneren Burganlage wurden komplett zerstört. Leider bleibt dem interessierten Besucher ein Zutritt zur oberen Burg –„Neue Burg“ verwehrt. Von der „Unteren“ älteren Burg, sind auch heute noch eine Anzahl von ruinösen Mauern und Gebäuderesten vorhanden. This imposing castle complex sits enthroned on a rocky terrain high above the Mühl near Neufelden in the Mühlkreis Pürnstein was first mentioned in a document in 1010. Around 1455, a large part of the old castle was demolished and a completely new fortress was built. In 1866 large parts of the complex were destroyed by fire, all wooden parts and even the roof structure of the inner castle complex were completely destroyed. Unfortunately, the interested visitor is not allowed to enter the upper castle - "New Castle". From the "lower" older castle, a number of ruinous walls and building remains are still present today.
