Noch bis in die Mitte des 20. Jhdts. holten findige Linzer Wirte von hier in großen Behältern das stets saubere Wasser für ihre Gäste.
Das Wasser kommt in einem dicken Strahl aus dem Berg, sogar im heißtrockenen Jahr 2018 schoss stets das Wasser heraus.
