★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Csodás hajókirándulás az Osztrák Dunakanyarban Melk és Krems között. Ez a 30 km hosszú Duna- szoros Wachau kultúrtáj elnevezéssel 2000 óta a világörökség része. Az út során a hajóból látható Schönbüheli kastély, az Aggsteini vár, Willendorf, Spitz, teraszos szőlőültetvények Weissenkirchen- nél, Dürstein vára, Göttweigi bencés apátság. A hajón büfé is rendelkezésre áll. Többek között bécsi virsli, bécsi szelet, helyi borok kaphatók normál áron.
 Wonderful boat trip on the Austrian Danube Bend between Melk and Krems. This 30 km long Wachau cultural landscape in the Danube Strait has been a World Heritage Site since 2000. Schönbühel Castle, Aggstein Castle, Willendorf, Spitz, terraced vineyards at Weissenkirchen, Dürstein Castle, and the Benedictine Abbey of Göttweig can be seen from the boat. There is also a snack bar on board. Among other things, Viennese sausages, Viennese steaks and local wines are available at normal prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There’s a few cruise companies operating from the Melk jetty on the Danube, the one I took was the DDSG as part of the combo ticket. Does’t look much, about 3 decks with the upper deck being open air. I was early, so managed to head to the back of the 2nd deck and get a table. Had lunch on board.
The river cruise is actually an excellent way to soak in the views of the valley. As the boat slowly cruises downstream from Melk, rolling hills and countryside farms and vineyards come into view.

Booked as part of a trip to Melk Abbey from Vienna by train. Good value.
