★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably the nicest place around the Attersee. The food is especially good here. I read some complaints about not enough or no vegan food available. I don't disagree, but then one will realize soon when travelling through Austria, that locals prefer meat and starchy foods over all else. Considering this, Aichinger has very fine, not the usual heavy and saucey affair. Their swimming area by the lake is very lovely too (10 minute walk from hotel). Highly recommended

Not the best option for vegetarians, but the vegetarian meals they offer are always amazing. A solid list of always available classics of Austrian cuisine coupled with a variable menu.
