★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Größe ok. Leider an vielen Stellen recht abgewohnt (durchgelegene Betten, durchgesessenes Sofa, Einrichtungsgegenstände kaputt, Lampen defekt)...Skischuhheizung wurde auch nicht eingeschaltet!
Size ok. Unfortunately in many places quite shabby (worn beds, sagging sofa, furnishings broken, lamps broken) ... Ski boot heater was not turned on!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir hatten das Appartement „Lebenslust“. Die Lebenslust ist uns dabei abhanden gekommen: Die Matratzen – eine Zumutung, es sei denn, man liegt gerne in einem in der Mitte 10 cm tieferem Loch als am Rand. Bei einem Wochenmietpreis von € 1300 sollten wenigsten gesunde Matratzen drin sein.
"Loch" trifft auch die Lichtverhältnisse der Wohnung im Erdgeschoss sehr gut. Auch bei 30 Grad und strahlendem Sonnenschein benötigt man in allen Räumen Licht. Wach wird man trotzdem sehr früh – denn die Wohnung liegt direkt an der ständig stark frequentierten Landstrasse, eine Tatsache, die bei der Beschreibung nicht erwähnt wird. Im Appartement selbst ist keine einzige Wand aus Holz, wie die Bilder auf Booking.cm suggerieren.
„Bio“ war – zumindest im von uns bewohnten Appartement – nichts, außer den Brötchen, die man allabendlich bestellen konnte.
We had the apartment "Lust for Life". We lost our love of life: The mattresses - an imposition, unless you like to lie in a hole 10 cm deeper in the middle than on the edge. With a weekly rental price of € 1300, there should be few healthy mattresses in it.
"Hole" also matches the lighting conditions of the apartment on the ground floor very well. Even at 30 degrees and bright sunshine, you need light in all rooms. You wake up very early anyway - because the apartment is located directly on the constantly busy country road, a fact that is not mentioned in the description. In the apartment itself there is not a single wall made of wood, as the pictures on Booking.cm suggest.
“Organic” was nothing - at least in the apartment we lived in - except for the bread rolls that you could order every evening.

die Lage ist toll, der Blick vom kleinen Balkon auf den Dachstein ist großartig. Das Haus ist sauber und gepflegt, man wird freundlich gebeten, unten die Schuhe auszuziehen und die Besitzer sind wirklich ausgesprochen freundlich, inklusive handgeschriebener Willkommens-Postkarte.
Jetzt zu den unerfreulichen Punkten: das Zimmer ist winzig, wir hatten das Zimmer „Lebenselexier“ und das hat 14m2. Unter uns gab es eine traumhafte Ferienwohnung im 1. Stock. Die war leider nicht frei. So. Es gibt kein Frühstück und auch keine echte Möglichkeit dazu, im Haus selbst was zu kochen. Es ist zwar ein separater, großer Raum dabei mit Kühlschrank und Kaffeemaschine, aber es gibt kein Wasser im Raum und das Abwaschen im kleinen Handwaschbecken in der Toilette mit verkalkter Armatur haben wir uns nur am ersten Morgen angetan. Ein echter Horror sind die Matratzen: wir sind beide normal nicht empfindlich, aber hier wachst Du nach einer schlechten Nacht auf mit Rückenschmerzen. Du kannst nicht auf dem Rücken und auch nicht auf der Seite liegen. Schlimm. Und das Bad ist kleiner als auf einer Schiffskabine. Aber immerhin ein guter, starker Strahl in der Dusche. Zusammenfassung: für junge Leute, die nicht frühstücken wollen und die unempfindlich sind, sicher eine Möglichkeit. Wir werden hier leider nicht mehr herkommen. (Paar, 47 & 56, Wien)
The positive first:
the location is great, the view from the small balcony of the Dachstein is great. The house is clean and well-kept, you are kindly asked to take off your shoes below and the owners are really very friendly, including a handwritten welcome postcard.
Now to the unpleasant points: the room is tiny, we had the “elixir of life” room and it has 14m2. Below us there was a wonderful apartment on the 1st floor. Unfortunately it wasn't free. So. There is no breakfast and no real possibility to cook something in the house. It is a separate, large room with a refrigerator and coffee machine, but there is no water in the room and we only did the washing up in the small hand basin in the toilet with the calcified faucet on the first morning. The mattresses are a real horror: neither of us are normally sensitive, but here you wake up after a bad night with back pain. You cannot lie on your back or on your side. Bad. And the bathroom is smaller than on a ship's cabin. But at least a good, strong jet in the shower. Summary: certainly a possibility for young people who do not want to have breakfast and who are insensitive. Unfortunately, we won't be coming here any more. (Couple, 47 & 56, Vienna)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful experience at the Holzhaus Heimat. A beautiful wooden house in a gorgeous setting, with all the comforts we needed. It was very close to town but a little outside of it to give a very tranquil feeling – a perfect location for us to enjoy the mountain air and views, but still being close to what we needed. The staff was very friendly & helpful, and wanted to make sure we had a good experience. They were also so supportive – we came for Special Olympics World Games and we really felt like they were excited for our family. :) It was a good feeling.
We had a 2-bedroom apartment plus a double-room, so 3 rooms together for 4 of us. It was all on one floor so we had the feeling of all being together. The beds were comfortable, and the apartment was very tastefully decorated and fun to hang out in together. Plenty of space and privacy but also spaces to hang out together. We really loved it. There were gorgeous views, and we slept well. The kitchen was great too. The house itself, all wood, is really amazing. Our apartment was really wonderful and we were sad to leave!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best accomodations in Austria, well equiped appartments and comfortable. We came in winter, in every room was heat, small surprise and during our stay we had feeling like beeing home. Cross country trails are just 30 meters from there and in neighbourhood you can find all what you need.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a nice stay at that place. It is really beautiful and looks in winter like in a fairy tale. The apartments are very comfortable and everything inside is ecological. That's most probably also why the place is a little bit pricey, mainly when considering the location (far away from Schladming). You have to take a taxi or ski bus to get to the town.
Although we arrived quite late I was expecting that we will meet either on arrival or the next morning the owner that will greet us. But nothing like this happen so at the end we didn't had the possibility to ask some important questions about ski rental or the ski bus...
