★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great family hotell, this is a small hotell which is great change from large chains for our family. Owners really nice, large room for a family with two kids. Breakfast ok for small hotell.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great view of the mountains in the back of the restaurant. You can sit outside here in the winter, but be aware that the sun sets early (before 1pm/2pm) in January so it becomes cold outside.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are so many good things happening at this ski lodge. The location is an easy drive from Munich for visiting the Schwangau castles and then driving further into Austria. After a week and a half of traveling through Europe, this place had the best family room- with two separate twin beds in a separate room with a door separating the rooms. We think the hotel rating would better be stated as 4. The proprietors are extremely friendly, and their concept of having a hotel bar is unique for the area. Unlike many hotels in Tirol they actually have hot showers (!), updated rooms, and excellent breakfast. Unlike many of the 4* hotels we’ve stayed at recently their appliances actually work in the room-feel free to wash your hair because the hair dryer works. The scrambled eggs here are better than most diners in America. They also have bacon, delicious coffee, and the meats, cheeses, bread basket, and cereals. The proprietor speaks perfect English and has extensive knowledge of the area. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return.
