★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Probably one of the best places to spend a honest, fairly priced family holiday in the mountains. Luxury at this place is defined by the hospitality of the people and not by the room standard. Incredible food standard!

I strongly recommend ordering from German menu, English has higher prices. Double standards, not cool...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Serious good rustic steaks and mountain foods. Been coming here in and off since about 1982. Prices are very reasonable and the setting is wonderfully traditional.
Welcoming and helpful staff too - very used to groups with kids.
I always recommend it to friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We ate here just five times out of the seven days we spent on Mittersill only because they were booked out on the first two evenings. The food was constantly delicious, plentiful and beautifully arrayed. Special treats for children, squeaky clean restrooms, excellent wine selection. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, the atmosphere very familiar and next year we will book ahead.
