★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Large but low ski area with good connections to Ellmau, Scheffau, Westendorf and Brixen. Crowdy. Moderate snow conditions at the end of winter and especially during holiday weeks. Good facilities.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately we have probably seen Ellmau at its worst. The unusually heavy snow falls have resulted in lift closures, and today the main Gondola was closed all morning due to a fallen tree on the cables. Amazingly, this was all sorted by about mid-day. The buses are frequent and reliable. The skiing areas are in good condition and well pisted, considering the circumstances. Overall it's a lovely place and I would like to return to see it at its best.
