★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is our favorite bakery in Vienna. There are many places to buy delicious bread, but most places are either lack the variety or unreasonably expensive. Felzl is at the sweet spot --- great selection and affordable prices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fabulous breakfast place! You can choose among plenty of pastries and sandwiches. The one with chives is my favourite!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The thing about this lovely little chain of cafés is that they have proper proper cinnamon buns (called "Schwedische Knote" there). They're like Danish pastries! The real deal. Hard to find that in Vienna, and believe me, I spent the better part of a decade checking around many cafés and chains.
Not Mohn, not Nuss but Zimt!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious almond croissant! Perfect amount of sweetness. Flaky yet gooey layers of pastry dough! The olive bread roll was also very good! Lots of choices.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bakery and cafe place close to the central square of Vienna. Α wide selection of croissants, donuts and muffins, but not for the sandwiches.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Like this place, especialy their French brioche and Swedish knoten. Their pastries are tasty and not too sweet. Also they have a wide selection of breads. Last Christmas their Ginger house to build yourself and Dinkel-Stollen (again not too sweet) were great souvenirs for friends and family

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Originally opened in 2000 at Schottenfeldgasse Bakery Cafe Felzl features the skills of Horst Felzl, his success now spread across five shops including a concise location at Helferstorferstraße 2 that is busy from 06h45 on weekdays and 08h00 on weekends.
Featuring clean lines and modern design across locations, each bathed in light with a larger menu found at the now-expanded original, Felzl focuses on locally grown Grains and Produce including Pielachtal Wheat and Styrian Seeds plus low-waste ethos often using “imperfect” Fruits.
Baked fresh on-site, the aroma evident to those nearby, any visit to Bakery Cafe Felzl should begin with Apple Strudel in delicate Pastry that features Cinnamon Breadcrumbs for added texture plus bright spots of acidity.
Onward to Obstplunder, a peerless Apricot Danish in English, “Viennoiseries” take on new meaning when teeth crackle through laminated layers of Felzl’s Nusskipferl though the oversized €9.30 Gugelhupf is a little more dry than what one will find at Rosengarten.
