Wenig Parkplätze, eignet sich aber gut für eine Radtour. Wonderful view and wonderful to enjoy the Danube. For bathing, however, only suitable to a limited extent. Only stone and gravel beach to lie on. Little parking space, but is good for a bike ride.
M	Marco Wallner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eine der schönsten Flussmündungen in Österreich: als einer ganz weniger Nebenflüsse mündet die Pielach in natürlichem Gefälle, unmittelbar am geografischen Beginn der Wachau gelegen, in eine der zwei verbliebenen Freifließstrecken (Wachau, Hainburger Au) der österreichischen Donau. Seit jeher bildet sich an dieser Stelle ein aus Geschiebe beider Flüsse gebildeter und je nach Wasserstand der Donau mehr oder weniger zugänglicher "Strand" von wechselnder Form und Größe. Die vor einigen Jahren zudem gelungen renaturierte Mündungsschwelle der Pielach verlieh dem Ort zusätzlichen Reiz. Gute Erreichbarkeit sowohl mit dem Rad (rechtsufriger Donauradweg tangiert unmittelbar) als auch mit dem Auto (B33, einige wenige Parkplätze in unmittelbarer Nähe der Pielachbrücke vorhanden) führt aber auch zu recht hoher Besucherfrequenz, besonders in den Sommermonaten kann es am "Strand" schon auch mal eng werden. Startpunkt für Bootstouren durch die Wachau. One of the most beautiful estuaries in Austria: as a very few tributaries flows the Pielach in natural gradient, located directly at the geographical beginning of the Wachau, in one of the two remaining free-flow routes (Wachau, Hainburger Au) of the Austrian Danube. Since time immemorial, a "beach" of varying shape and size has been formed at this point, formed from the bedrock of both rivers and, depending on the water level of the Danube, more or less accessible. The renaturalized threshold of the Pielach, which was also successfully restored a few years ago, gave the place additional appeal. Good accessibility both by bike (right bank of the Danube Cycle Path directly affected) as well as by car (B33, a few parking spaces in the immediate vicinity of the Pielach bridge available) but also leads to quite high visitor frequency, especially in the summer months on the "beach" already get close. M	Markus Schiffler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nahe Melk liegt die Mündung der Pielach in die Donau. Hier gibt es einen netten Schotterstrand, welcher für die Donau relativ flach abfällt. Bis zum frühen Nachmittag spenden die Bäume Schatten, dann ist überall Sonne. Hunde fühlen sich hier genauso wohl wie ihre Begleiter. Gastro und WC sind nicht vorhanden, also Natur pur. Parken nur an der Bundesstrasse möglich. Interessant ist es den Schiffen zuzusehen. Für einen erholsamen Abstecher immer zu empfehlen. The confluence of the Pielach and the Danube is near Melk. There is a nice gravel beach here, which slopes relatively flat for the Danube. The trees provide shade until the early afternoon, when there is sun everywhere. Dogs feel just as comfortable here as their companions. Gastro and toilet are not available, so pure nature. Parking is only possible on the main road. It is interesting to watch the ships. Always recommended for a relaxing detour.
