Food quality from the restaurant though is not on par with the one you get from other similar chains. Prices are a bit lower though.

Autogrill welcomes large tour buses, so our driver stopped with them when he could. They are less common in Austria than they are in Italy (at least along our routes) but our group liked them better. The biggest reason for this was they do not charge to use the restrooms. The food is often homemade, is delicious, the atmosphere is restful, the buildings and grounds are very clean, and there is space to exercise animals, and walk about. All of this is positive for drivers. The US could learn a thing or two about highway rest-stops from these experts, who got it right the first time.
