Aussichtsparkplatz auf Reutte - 6600

Sehr schöner Panoramaparkplatz oberhalb von Reutte an der Fernpassstraße...Toller Blick über die ganze Gemeinde und auf die Burg

Wäre so schön hier. Nur leider weiss nicht jeder wo der müll hingehört. Da stehen so grüne tonnen da würde er rein gehören?

Outstanding place to take a break on the drive through the area

The medieval festival at Reutte (in the Tyrol) is supposed to be the largest in Europe. Well, I don't know if that's true, but it's certainly the greatest. This may be a little subjective, but what the heck! My wife and I, together with some very good friends of ours, have been attending for a couple of years now, and we keep coming back. The atmosphere is wonderful, as is the food, and if you're interested in medieval reenactment, you'll find everything you need and want there. We keep making jokes about entering the marked naked on one side and leaving it fully clothed, bejewelled and even armoured on the other. Well, at Reutte, this would be easily possible. During the festival, there's no parking near the market area, but the shuttle bus service from the town is excellent. SUPPLEMENT⚠️: Unfortunately, due to differences between the organizers and the municipal administration of Reutte, the medieval festival as such does not exist any more. The Covid pandemic has probably done its share in destroying it. Although there still is a very nice museum, as well as a newly built cable car to reach the suspension bridge and the castle ruins, the giant market has shrunk to about ten stalls?. If you're looking for the ultimate kick in medieval pageantry, then sadly Reutte is no longer your destination.
