Definitely worth visiting this park if you can! The two WW2 era towers that loom over the trees are very cool. You can’t go inside either of them but they are very interesting to walk around. The park is quite large and there are plenty of benches to sit and enjoy a break.

The Augarten is a little off the tourist trail but a great spot to enjoy one of the quieter of Vienna’s parks. It is the oldest Baroque park in the city and is tucked away just along the road from Vienna Boy’s Choir concert venue. The park is overshadowed by an enormous relic of World War II, a hideous concrete flak tower (that is reputedly too reinforced to blow up). It certainly gives you pause for thought as you wander along the pathways. The park is also home to the Café Sperling which is a great spot for a drink. You won’t run into many tourists here!

Very spacious and nice park, very flat, perfect for a relaxed walk. There are two interesting towers that are actually high anti-aircraft bunkers from 2nd world war. The entire park seems very geometrical. The trees are tall and perfectly in line. The only minus is there are rarely any colors present during winters, mostly shades of brown. But that also has a certain charm. There are also playgrounds, table tennis, dog park etc.

Nice public park with many grassy areas, some playgrounds for kids, public bathrooms and a couple of cafes. Also of note are the flak towers left over from WW2, very unique. Busy on weekends.
