Great atmosphere, staff and salad bar. It can be quite busy around lunch time, but that goes for every restaurant at this ski area.

Beautiful place, I felt as if I were in a fairytale!

We stayed here for a ski trip for one week. We booked half board so breakfast and dinner were included in the price. The room is very quaint and tastefully decorated. There was a very small area to hang clothes. I felt hotel could include a small dresser and more wall hooks to hang coats/jackets. There is an open shelf for storage and 2 hooks near the entrance but they just weren’t enough. The bathroom door is just too thin so you can hear everything. The staff was kind enough to install safety railing after they noticed our make-shift child safety rail for the bunk bed. We loved the ski storage room with heated shoe racks...big & spacious. Hotel is directly next to several lifts and is The place for apres ski. The bar offers large selection and gin & tonic is their specialty. There are no ski schools that start here; they start in nearby towns like Hirschegg or Riezlern but they may come to Ifen to ski. There are 2 convenient bus stops outside the hotel. The Pendelbus runs every 10 minutes to Fuchs Farm, which was perfect for us. Our kids were registered at Hirschegg Skischule which requires 2 buses. The easier and faster option is to get off at Fuchs Farm and ski blue slope directly to the ski school. Most days we were the only ones on the bus from Fuchs Farm to Ifen since Ifen is the last stop and there’s nothing around the area except Auenhütte. Every night we could select the next evening‘s dinner. There were 2 main options in which one is vegetarian as well as a kids‘ meal. The food taste was not consistent. Some nights were amazing and other nights were bland. And 1 or 2 nights, the adults in the group chose the kids‘ menu just because the main dishes did not seem very appealing. There is also free parking for hotel guests but it is not covered. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Auenhütte!

Great Atmosphere and really nice staff. There’s no better location to start your ski trip then waking up right on top of the lift that takes you all the way up to the plateau. All around „family“ like.
