Basic but comfort and clean accommodation in lovely resort. Top floor at the rear have beautiful views of the lake. Minutes stroll from the centre.

(Visited Feb half term 2018) This is honestly the worst place I have ever stayed- so bad that we successfully gained a financial settlement back from TUI, who we booked with. On arrival, the room was tiny and sparsely decorated with cheap furniture (more on that to come.) It was late at night when we arrived, we were hugely disappointed as this was meant to be our cosy nook after a day's skiing. We decided to go to bed and look at it with fresh eyes the next morning. Whilst I was getting ready for bed, the bathroom door handle fell off in my hand, and when my husband went to put his clothes away, the wardrobe door broke. When he went to turn off the light, he noticed what looked like dried blood on the lamp (he's a medical professional, I'm inclined to take his word for what that looks like!) And we found a selection of interesting hairs in the bed. Settling down to sleep was no mean feat, as the bed (standard Austrian twin) was so old and exhausted that each mattress had a huge depression in the middle. In addition, the walls were paper-thin, meaning that the chap in the room next to us kept us awake all night with his snoring (we bear him no ill will, he wasn't even snoring very loudly, it was as though he was in the room!) The next morning, we went down to the breakfast room (which was fine, but after how filthy the room was, we were reluctant to eat much) and my husband phoned our TUI rep. He agreed that it was unacceptable, and offered to have the room cleaned. We asked for alternative accommodation, which could not be done as it was half term. Worryingly, they offered to place a family coming to stay that day in the uninhabitable room and give us theirs, which we refused. It was so awful that we came home after a day, something neither of us has ever countenanced doing before. I have not posted this review until now as to not compromise the mediation we went through to secure a refund (which we got). If you look at my other reviews, you will see that generally, I am easy to please and love everything- my husband and I have traveled extensively, including to Zell, staying everywhere from hostels upwards, and have never, EVER been so disappointed. Please, avoid this place, and don't let it spoil your holiday.

Good Hotel. The rooms are clean, decent view from room. No Reception, self check Inn and check out. 8 minutes walking from the train station and it's close to Postplatz bus stop where all the buses go to Kitzsteinhorn, Schmittenhohe. In summers there is a evening festival every Wednesday. Was walking distance from the hotel. Lake Zell is also at walking distance. Good hotel and good location.

Modern, clean, very nice. Free coffee in the morning even if you don't buy breakfast. Staff is very friendly. The guy from check in is very friendly also. You have to make the check in in another place... So.. Read your email from Haus Edelweiss... I didn't know if it's a hotel or Haus.. It's a hotel.. :)))) a very nice one... The room is what you need. Not too big and too small. Its getting heated up pretty fast. I thing that the bathroom is bigger than the room but it's very very nice. I really didn't expect this... It's cheap and good quality. Perfect match

I read a really bad review after I had booked. Happy to say I have had a great experience. Staff welcoming and helpful. Rooms ideal clean well laid out. Breakfast set up and selection good. Facilities for skiing ideal. Half board arrangements with local restaurant Monte has been great food and service first class excellent value for money.

After going on holiday to Zell, we stayed here, the two of us. The room was great, decent sized and had the basics we needed. Breakfast was lovely and had more than enough to give a big variety, even for myself with lots of food intolerances. The hotel in general was not loud and I was not woken up by banging doors! The sauna was clean, smart and well maintained. The limited interaction we had with the staff on the first day was simple and pleasant. Recommend for a great place to stay in Zell.

Disaster experience! I reached in the evening where I must do a contactless check in. The kiosk system didn't recognize my booking number and I was left outside 2 hours trying calling all their numbers which no one will answer. That is including the "Emergency" number. I had to switch hotel. More insult to injury, no one bothered returning my calls the following day!! I would strongly recommend you don't take the risk of arriving in the evening, when there are no lights in the street or means of transportation but the very greedy taxis. Another funny part, while I was attempting to check in, a guest arrived and the kiosk recognized his booking number. However, it was giving a key number to collect, while there was no matching key was there in the box. ? The poor guy had the same experience and switched the hotel.
