The Drauschleife near Wernberg is a paradise for birds. The Drau Cycle Path leads through in the middle.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nach einer tollen Fahrrad Tour machten wir dort Verschnaufpause mit kleinem Essen. Die herrliche Aussicht und den vielen Anglern mit Boot hat uns sehr gut gefallen.
After a great bike tour we took a breather with a small meal. The beautiful view and the many anglers with boat we really liked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Anlegestelle Schloss Wernberg ist besonders empfehlenswert. Sie befindet sich gegenüber der Drauschleife, für Naturliebhaber ein absolut es Muss. Folgt man den Schildern zum Naturlehrpfad ist man sehr schnell Abseits des Trubels auf dem Drauradweg. Den Ausblick auf das Gewässer genießen, die vielen Vogelarten beobachten oder bis zum Schloss Wernberg wandern. Letzteres nur mit Wanderschuhen und etwas Kondition aber durchaus lohnenswert.
The pier Wernberg castle is particularly recommended. It is located opposite the "Drauschleife", a must for nature lovers. If one follows the signs to the nature trail one is very fast off the hustle and bustle on the Drauradweg. Enjoy the view of the water, observe the many species of birds or hike to Wernberg Castle. The latter only with hiking boots and a bit of condition but quite worthwhile.
