★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Andritzer Hauptplatz ist *das* Begegnungszentrum, wenn man mit den Öffis unterwegs ist. Die Anschlüsse sowohl per Bus als auch per Straßenbahn sind vielfältig, sofern man nicht am Wochenende unterwegs ist.
Jeden Samstag von 6 Uhr bis 13 Uhr sowie ab Anfang März bis Ende November auch am Dienstag von 14 bis 19 Uhr gibt es den Bauernmarkt, der immer wieder Gutes und Frisches aus der Region anbietet - empfehlenswert!
Der Platz selbst bietet sonst, abgesehen von der "Wand mit Uhr drauf", nicht allzu viele bauliche Attraktionen, es gibt kaum Schatten (die alten, großen Bäume beim Markt wurden vor einiger Zeit entfernt und die neuen sind noch zu klein) und Sitzgelegenheiten wenn man auf einen Bus oder die Bim wartet.
Die Gastronomie im zentralen Bereich kann ich nicht beurteilen, da ich sie noch nie besucht habe.
Auf der Westseite gibt es in der wärmeren Jahreszeit noch ein Eisgeschäft mit durchaus gutem Eis.
The Andritz main square is * the * meeting center, if you are traveling by public transport. The connections by bus as well as by tram are varied, as long as you are not on the weekend.
Every Saturday from 6 am to 1 pm as well as from the beginning of March to the end of November on Tuesday from 2 to 7 pm, there is the farmer's market, which always offers good and fresh from the region - highly recommended!
The place itself offers, apart from the "wall with clock on it," not too many architectural attractions, there are hardly any shade (the old, big trees at the market were removed some time ago and the new ones are still too small) and seating if you wait for a bus or the Bim.
The gastronomy in the central area I can not judge, since I have never visited.
On the west side there is in the warmer season still an ice cream shop with quite good ice.
