Über die Brücke führt die Bernstein Straße B 49. Die Schrägseilbrücke liegt bei Stromkilometer 1886,20 und ist die einzige Donaubrücke zwischen Wien und Bratislava. Die Brücke ist 1872 Meter lang, davon entfallen 366 Meter auf die eigentliche Flussquerung. Der A-förmige Stahlpylon, der die Schrägseile trägt, ist 76,33 Meter hoch und über einem Strompfeiler angeordnet.
Sie wurde von Oktober 1969 bis Jahresende 1972 von der Stahlbaufirma Waagner-Biro errichtet und im Jänner 1973 offiziell eröffnet. Die Benennung nach dem ehemaligen Landeshauptmann Andreas Maurer erfolgte erst 2012. Quelle @wikipedia
The Andreas-Maurer-Brücke is a road bridge over the Danube in Lower Austria on the municipal area of Hainburg an der Donau in the district of Bruck an der Leitha and Engelhartstetten in the district of Gänserndorf. The Bernstein road B 49 leads over the bridge. The cable-stayed bridge is located at the electromotive kilometer 1886.20 and is the only Danube bridge between Vienna and Bratislava. The bridge is 1872 meters long, of which 366 meters account for the actual river crossing. The A-shaped steel pylon, which carries the cable-stayed cables, is 76.33 meters high and arranged above a stream pylon.
It was built from October 1969 to the end of 1972 by the steel construction company Waagner-Biro and officially opened in January 1973. The designation after the former governor Andreas Maurer took place only in 2012. Quelle @wikipedia
