Sehr schöne Almhütte auf ca. 1450m in absoluter Alleinlage auf einer kleinen Waldlichtung im Hang. Das Auto stellt man etwa 100 Höhenmeter unterhalb der Hütte ab und das Gepäck und Vorräte werden von den sehr freundlichen Gastgebern mit dem Geländewagen auf die Hütte gebracht. Der Fußweg auf die Hütte dauert etwa 20 Minuten. Solarstrom ist vorhanden und betreibt den Kühlschrank sowie Licht und eine Steckdose. Wir hatten immer genug Strom. Handyempfang funktioniert soweit es das telefonieren und SMS betrifft recht gut, auch wenn man etwas nach Empfang suchen muss. Mobile Daten haben bei uns nahezu gar nicht funktioniert, hat gerade so zum Wettercheck gereicht. Man ist ja aber auch nicht auf der Hütte um jederzeit erreichbar zu sein, oder? Direkt von der Hütte aus kann man kleine oder auch größere Wanderungen unternehmen. Die Wanderung zur Oberhütte mit Bergsee ist sehr zu empfehlen (2 Stunden Hinweg bei gemütlichem Tempo). In der Oberhütte eine kurze Einkehr und dann der Abstieg zurück (1,5 Stunden). Falls man mal keine Lust zu kochen hat sind in 30 Minuten zu Fuß auch die Vögeialm und die Fallhausalm erreichbar. Die Vögeialm hat jeden Tag geöffnet und die Fallhausalm lediglich am Wochenende. Die Vogeialm haben wir mehrfach besucht und die Küche ist sehr zu empfehlen. Vor der Hütte gibt es auch noch eine Feuerstelle auf der ebenfalls in herrlicher Bergkulisse gegrillt werden kann. Für gemütliche Abende gibt es einen Hot Tub der mit Bergquellwasser gefüllt und mit Holz beheizt werden kann. Aus den warmen Hot Tub lässt sich wunderbar der Sonnenuntergang genießen. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir bedanken uns bei Daniela und Kurt für den tollen Urlaub auf der Ampferkaralm-Hütte.

Very beautiful alpine hut at approx. 1450m in an absolutely secluded location in a small forest clearing on the slope. The car is parked about 100 meters below the hut and the luggage and supplies are brought to the hut by the very friendly hosts in an off-road vehicle. The walk to the hut takes about 20 minutes. Solar power is available and operates the refrigerator as well as light and a socket. We always had enough electricity. Cell phone reception works quite well as far as phone calls and SMS are concerned, even if you have to look for reception a bit. Mobile data almost didn't work for us, it was just enough for the weather check. But you're not in the hut to be available at any time, right? You can go on short or long hikes directly from the hut. The hike to the Oberhütte with the mountain lake is highly recommended (2 hours there at a leisurely pace). A short stop in the Oberhütte and then the descent back (1.5 hours). If you don't feel like cooking, the Vögeialm and Fallhausalm can also be reached in 30 minutes on foot. The Vögeialm is open every day and the Fallhausalm only on weekends. We have visited the Vogeialm several times and the kitchen is highly recommended. There is also a fireplace in front of the hut, which can also be used for barbecues with a wonderful mountain backdrop. For cozy evenings there is a hot tub that can be filled with mountain spring water and heated with wood. You can enjoy the sunset from the warm hot tub. We liked it very much and we would like to thank Daniela and Kurt for the great holiday at the Ampferkaralm hut.
