A	Astrid Cantele on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absoluter Geheimtipp! Die Wirtsleute sind so herzlich, das Team absolut sympathisch...man fühlt sich sofort wohl! Das Essen abwechslungsreich, frisch, mit Zutaten aus der Region und traumhaft lecker. Auch wenn der Gastgarten voll ist, kommt Gelassenheit rüber und das Bestellte steht prompt auf dem Tisch. Die Hütte mit dem Gastgarten liegt idyllisch über dem Bach und die vielen Wanderwege rundherum sind nicht überlaufen und bieten Wahnsinnsausblicke. Ein Wochenende beim Almtalerhaus ist absolut eine Reise wert, auch "nur" zum Essen und Chillen geeignet. Wie ein Urlaub bei Freunden ? UPDATE vom Oktober 2021: die netten Wirtsleute und ihr Team haben das Almtalerhaus abgegeben. Über die neuen Betreiber und was sie aus dem Platz machen, kann ich leider noch keine Auskunft geben. Absolute insider tip! The hosts are so welcoming, the team is absolutely personable ... you immediately feel at home! The food is varied, fresh, with ingredients from the region and incredibly delicious. Even when the garden is full, calm comes across and what you have ordered is promptly on the table. The hut with the guest garden is idyllically situated above the stream and the many hiking trails around it are not overcrowded and offer amazing views. A weekend at the Almtalerhaus is absolutely worth the trip, also "only" suitable for eating and chilling out. Like a vacation with friends ? UPDATE from October 2021: the nice hosts and their team have handed over the Almtalerhaus. Unfortunately, I cannot provide any information about the new operators and what they are doing with the site.
M	Michael Haas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nach einem Lauf auf die Welser-Hütte bei der Rückkehr hier eingekehrt. Erst einmal ein Lob an die Küche. Die Suppe war wirklich lecker! Was aber wirklich eine Katastrophe ist, dass ich 30min auf eine Bedienung warten musste! Hier läuft vermutlich in der Organisation so einiges schief. After a run to the Welser hut, stopped here on the return. First of all, a compliment to the kitchen. The soup was really tasty! But what is really a disaster is that I had to wait 30 minutes for a service! There's probably a lot going wrong here in the organization.

Besonders schön ist, dass sich auch für Menschen, die keine Tiere essen wahre Köstlichkeiten auf der Karte finden. Sehr empfehlenswert! Super delicious food and super friendly staff! Although there was a lot going on, we had our lovingly prepared food at the table after a very short time. It is particularly nice that there are real delicacies on the menu for people who do not eat animals. Highly recommended!

Das Speck- und das Käsebrot das je Euro 5,90! kostet könnten etwa größer sein. Das war jeweils mit 3-4 Bissen erledigt. Nicht so für einen hungrigen Wanderer geeignet. Very beautiful and idyllic location. Very kind and nimble condition. It's great that you can park there for free! The bacon and cheese bread each Euro 5.90! costs could be bigger. That was done with 3-4 bites each time. Not so suitable for a hungry hiker.

N	Natalia Khilkevitch on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crowded, relatively slow, the choice is not that big. Brettljause okay, but not perfect (just one Aufstrich, no egg, just few veggies..) The parking lot is a pure horror. Full overload. P.S. Concerning parking (answering to the team of ATH): we drived all the way from the main Habernau, and all suitable parkings were already full! We were just lucky, that on the space quite near the house someone left just once we arrived! Otherwise we would have turned back and would have probably gone to Almsee! And we saw many, many cars still arriving. And it was Tuseday! I can’t even imagine how everything would look like on the weekend.
F	Fat Boy Hit Gym H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid breakfast. They overcharged us for rubbish breakfast. Place is ok but I have stayed in better Hüttes in Austria. Beer and dinner and accommodation available. Shared accommodation is a long hall so you can never get good sleep. Customer care is also quite weak.
