Simply the best public bath in Vienna - stylish & serene in the unbeatable scenery of Schönbrunn's park. A dazzling 50-metre pool, a large kids' pool, green meadows with wooden or moveable textile sunbeds, a nice restaurant and a wonderful terrace - what's not to love? In the summer season, tourists sweating through their sightseeing plan are utterly astonished when you tell them you're not there to admire the castle, but for a relaxing swim and a sunbath. "You have a public pool in here? Wow, you are so lucky!", is a very common response. Sadly, the Viennese don't fully realise just how incredibly lucky they are and instead complain about the prices - but for an oasis of calm which is kept impeccable clean and safe by the attentive & hardworking staff running the place, the prices are more than ok. Best of all: In the heat of the summer, opening times extend to 10 p.m., giving you a chance to enjoy a beautiful evening at the poolside, escaping the hottest nights in town!

Great bath and space aside from the cash only entrance. Loss of stars for only restaurant providing the poorest quality of food at an above average price (after you already paid a premium entrance fee). Sign stating best burger is almost insult to injury as I can buy the same frozen patties in any cheap grocery store. It brought me back to the North American cuisine I moved away from.

I just have to say this place is one of my favorite place sites in summer here in Vienna ? and is not just the pool but in the food and the service in the restaurant is really Great.

Danzon organizes their legendary pool party once a year in the "Schönbrunner Bad" and it is the most awesome one I know in Vienna. When they open their doors on days with no entertainment like the Danzon pool party you have to pay about 13 Euros to spend the whole day there. They also have a restaurant inside and you can get cold drinks or some ice cream.

Really nice public bath, sunbeds for free. You can come for half day, evening part or whole day (there is significant difference in the price)

This gorgeous and very clean pool is wonderful because it is open late (until 10pm). The Sportbahn is a pleasure to use for training at all hours. Lots of people seem to enjoy sunbathing by the pool on nice days too. Only downside is that it is an expensive place to come to train; it is 8 euros for a single entry student ticket. If you come, have a one euro coin to use a locker and a 50 cent coin to purchase three minutes of hot water in the showers for after your swim.
