★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die durchaus sehenswerte Kirche im kleinen Ort Rastenfeld geht auf einen romanischen Bau zurück, von welchem noch viele Elemente im Kern der Kirche erhalten sind. Die Kirche besitzt einen gotischen Chor und eine barocke Einrichtung. Das Bild über dem Hochaltar stammt vermutlich von Anton Maulbertsch.
Es lohnt sich, einmal nicht auf der Schnellstraße Richtung Waldviertel vorbeizufahren sondern einen Besuch in Rastenfeld einzuplanen!
 The church in the small town of Rastenfeld, which is well worth seeing, goes back to a Romanesque building, from which many elements in the core of the church have been preserved. The church has a Gothic choir and baroque furnishings. The picture above the high altar presumably comes from Anton Maulbertsch.
It is worthwhile not to drive past on the expressway towards Waldviertel but to plan a visit to Rastenfeld!
