I didn't feel this museum did itself any favours really. There is a lot to read and not very much to see and whatever you might think of Freud he certainly should generate some debate...interestingly there is an opportunity to sit and have coffee in the museum but in the time that we were there no one did...the staff did not seem at all interested in where they were and unlike any other venue I visited in Vienna they were not very pleasant. This museum could do with a bit of attention I think.

Would have liked it to be more organised. Not exactly a museum, more a coffe shop and a book shop with some exhibits and a lot of added text. Interesting nonetheless.

An amazing experience to be in the very space that Sigmund Freud lived and practiced in. A must see when in Wien

It is a very nice and completely fresh renovated museum. Many written articles and videos are to see. We missed somehow to find furnished rooms which are like they were when Sigmund Freud was living in that apartment. Beside from that, it is easy to reach: take the metro U2 to Schottentor and walk 6 minutes.

I had high hopes, has this had the potential of being great, but left kind of disappointed. What's good: - The renovation is fantastic. - Easily accessable. - Good if you're not too familiar with Freud's history. What could be improved: - Freud is a very non-conventional figure nowadays, and they skipped over that fact (and the reasons to that) almost completely. - The museum is mostly composed of different info cards placed next to different items. Nothing interactive or creative in any way. - The theories are described in a very shallow way.

It was very interesting to see his home and how things were when he lived there. You will need a certain face mask to go inside. Probably spend 1 hour here but if your a big fan maybe 2 hours.

Very nice museum, I have enjoyed very much the house and the information provided. I could feel the atmosphere. I also liked the library and had some time to reflect over a cup of coffee on the terrace.
