J	Justin B. on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Achtung, Abzocke!! Sehr schöner Aussichtspunkt auf den Großglockner, dafür sollte es eigentlich 5 Sterne geben. Wir sind mit einem Wohnmobil unter 3,5t also einem PKW hochgefahren. Das Preisschild haben wir zuvor betrachtet und angenommen, wir zählen zu den PKWs mit 4€ für drei Stunden. Der große Schock kam, als wir das Ticket bezahlen wollten und blöd angemacht wurden, dass wir zu blöd seien das Schild richtig zu lesen. In kleinster Schrift steht, dass alle Fahrzeuge ab einer Höhe von 2,4m zu Wohnmobilen zählen und 30 Euro Mautgebühr fällig sind. Für uns absolut nicht nachvollziehbar, was die Höhe damit zu tun haben soll und wie man 30€ für die kleine Mautstraße + das Halten von 20 Minuten verlangen kann. Reinste Abzocke!!! Warning, rip off! Very nice vantage point on the Großglockner, it should actually be 5 stars. We went up with a motorhome under 3.5t, i.e. a car. We previously looked at the price tag and assumed that we are one of the cars with 4 € for three hours. The big shock came when we wanted to pay for the ticket and were bullied about being too stupid to read the sign correctly. In the smallest print it says that all vehicles from a height of 2.4m count as mobile homes and a toll of 30 euros is due. For us it is absolutely incomprehensible what the amount has to do with it and how you can charge 30 € for the small toll road + the stop of 20 minutes. Pure rip-off!

Parkplatz Glocknerwinkel saniert. Sehenswert. Needs to be touched up in some places. Very tight in some places. Otherwise great panorama, toll was moderately increased in 2021. Glocknerwinkel parking lot renovated. Worth seeing.
M	Mel Schlegel on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saubere und tolle Alpenstraße. Annehmbare Preise auf der Mautstraße. Auch die Bus Linie 952 fährt dort hoch. Super Aussichten, auch an der Strecke entlang. Einfach atemberaubend schön. Man kann das ganze auch zu Fuß auf dem Kalser Talrundweg in ca. 6 Stunden erkunden. Hier wird aber dringend gutes Schuhwerk empfohlen. Clean and great alpine road. Acceptable prices on the toll road. The 952 bus also goes up there. Great views, also along the route. Simply breathtakingly beautiful. You can also explore the whole on foot on the Kalser Talrundweg in about 6 hours. Good footwear is strongly recommended here.

Als Gast in Kals kann man mit der Gästekarte den Bus Linie 952 umsonst nehmen und kann so einige Euro sparen und auch der Umwelt ein ganz klein wenig Gutes tun. An absolute highlight. Many hiking routes worth hiking start from the Lucknerhaus. As a guest in Kals, you can take the 952 bus for free with your guest card, which saves you a few euros and does a little good for the environment.

Teilweise ist die Strecke ohne Leitplanke, da kann es schon heftig Kribbeln in der Magen Gegend. A very nice route for bikers and of course motorists. A great experience for people without fear of heights! Partly the route is without a guardrail, so the stomach area can get a lot tingling.
N	Nicolai Faix on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sportwagenfahrer aufgepasst: der Name Kalser Großglocknerstraße suggeriert eine gewisse Nähe zum großen Bruder, der Großglockner-Hochalpenstraße. Den Großglockner kann man auch von der Kalser Variante aus bewundern, das war’s dann aber auch schon mit den Gemeinsamkeiten. Die Straße ist kurz, holprig und bietet kaum Fahrspaß. Das will sie vermutlich auch nicht, denn eigentlich ist das Mautticket vielmehr als Gebühr für den oben befindlichen Parkplatz zu verstehen. Wer zu diesem Zweck hochfährt um bspw. zu wandern, wird zufrieden sein. Alle anderen kehren in Kals besser wieder um. Sports car drivers watch out: the name Kalser Großglocknerstraße suggests a certain closeness to its big brother, the Großglockner High Alpine Road. The Großglockner can also be admired from the Kals variant, but that's about it with the similarities. The road is short, bumpy and hardly any driving pleasure. She probably doesn't want that either, because the toll ticket is actually to be understood as a fee for the parking lot above. Anyone who drives up for this purpose, for example to hike, will be satisfied. Everyone else is better off turning back in Kals.
T	Torsten Ludwig on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was soll man sagen? Schön sind die Berge immer. Mit der Straße spart man Zeit und Weg. Zum Radfahren ist sie auch sehr schön. Parkplätze am Lucknerhaus und Straßenmaut sind ein Preis. Sehr schöner Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern. Man kann auch ganz entspannt mit dem Bus fahren. What to say The mountains are always beautiful. The road saves time and travel. It is also very nice for cycling. Parking spaces at the Lucknerhaus and road tolls are a price. Very nice starting point for hiking. You can also take the bus in a very relaxed way.
