Das Indie hiess mal India. Damals gab es noch hand-gefertigte Kleider in fliessender, wunderschöner Seide in verschiedenen Farben.
Dies ist dem Massenprodukt und der Baumwolle gewichen. Mag noch immer handgefertigt sein, aber die Wirkung hat sich verloren und ist fade geworden. Die Farben sind eintönig, die Schnitte lieblos und quadratisch, praktisch, gut. Es gibt noch Seiden-Schals und schöne Pashmina-Tücher. Und dennoch, der Charme und der Reichtum für die Sinne ist weg. Die Seele ist weg…
...oder vielleicht ist das India ein Opfer des überall beklagten Fachkräfte-Mangels geworden? Es bleibt mir unverständlich wie ein quadratischer Baumwoll-Pyjama einem fließend-geschnittenes Seidenkleid vorzuziehen ist.
Disappointing. Just bitterly disappointing.
The indie was called India. At that time there were still hand-made dresses in flowing, beautiful silk in different colors.
This has given way to the mass product and the cotton. May still be handmade, but the effect has been lost and has become bland. The colors are monotonous, the cuts loveless and square, practical, good. There are still silk scarves and beautiful pashmina shawls. And yet, the charm and wealth for the senses is gone. The soul is gone ...
... or maybe India has fallen victim to the shortage of skilled workers everywhere? It remains incomprehensible how a square cotton pajama is preferable to a flowing-cut silk dress.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsgeschäfte in der Wiener City! Ein Muss für Liebhaber der feinen Stoffe und bunten Muster. Auch die Herrenkollektion ist wunderschön zeitlos gediegen. Volles Geldbörserl mitnehmen, man findet dort immer was, das man nicht liegen lassen kann. ;-)
