Unsere Ausflüge nach Schrems verbinden wir immer mit einem Besuch hier... Upscale, home-style cuisine. Always seasonal menu. Managed by the owners themselves (boss in the kitchen, boss in service). We always combine our trips to Schrems with a visit here ...

Wirtin lässt keine schlechte Laune aufkommen. Zimmer neu adaptiert und gemütlich. Vielleicht ein paar Haken und Ablageflächen im Bad wären gut. Und nichts für gehbehinderte. Sehr steile Treppe zu den Zimmern und in den Speisesaal. Aber wie gesagt - sonst passt alles. Man kann sich wohlfühlen..... Actually everything fits. Competent and flexible staff and owners. Kind and courteous. The chef's kitchen is wonderful. The landlady doesn't put up a bad mood. Room newly adapted and cozy. Maybe a few hooks and storage space in the bathroom would be good. And nothing for the handicapped. Very steep stairs to the rooms and the dining room. But as I said - everything else fits. You can feel good .....

In Schrems hat am Montag scheinbar jedes Gasthaus Ruhetag, also gingen wir ins Gasthaus Schönauer. Unser 4jähriger ist ein kleiner Rabauke. Unaufgefordert brachte uns die Bedienung eine Tonne mit Bausteinen, Stifte zum Malen, Ausmalpapier und Kinderbücher. Danke! After a family outing on a window day, we wanted to have dinner with both children. Apparently every inn in Schrems has a day of rest on Monday, so we went to the Gasthaus Schönauer. Our 4 year old is a little bully. Without being asked, the waitress brought us a bin with building blocks, pens for painting, coloring paper and children's books. Thanks!
M	Manuela Kronister on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ein großes Lob der Küche, so etwas findet man selten. Die Küche ein Traum, dass 4 Gängige Menü, so liebevoll dekoriert, man traut sich kaum es zu zerstören. Das Personal sehr nett, zuvorkommend, es stimmt einfach alles. Wenn es nur für uns nicht so weit weg wäre, aber wann immer unsere Wege in die Richtung führen, dann ist es in Zukunft unser Stamm Lokal. Vielen Dank dem gesamten Team. Kudos from the kitchen, something like that is rarely found. The kitchen is a dream, the 4-course menu, so lovingly decorated, you hardly dare to destroy it. The staff was very nice, accommodating, everything was just right. If only it weren't so far away for us, but whenever our paths lead in that direction, then in the future it will be our local pub. Many thanks to the whole team.
H	Hubert Endl on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eigentlich wollten wir woanders hingehen, aber das hatte "gottseidank" zu. Ich mich hier einmal vor langem sehr gut gegessen zu haben und so sind wir vor gelandet. Es war wieder sehr gut. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause nur wir hier fast besser gekocht. Es ist mehr als ein 3 Hauben Lokal. Actually we wanted to go somewhere else, but that was "thank goodness" closed. I used to eat here once a long time ago and that's how we ended up. It was very good again. You feel like at home only we cooked almost better here. It's more than a 3 toque restaurant.
