★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place was closed on a Thursday at 13:00 when they are supposed to be open according to their website. We hiked all the way for nothing. They should be better and keeping to their opening hours.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today we visited the restaurant. The view is nice and the place is cosy, BUT the prices are really baseless height! The quality of food and drinks are really low for this price!! There was also just one waiter for all guests! We ordered 2 cups of coffee - Großer Brauner (4.30€) and Häferlkaffee (this one is the most expensive cup of coffee of this restaurant, the price 4.90€) and 2 desserts - Apfelstrudel (5.40€) and Mohr im Hemd (6.80€). The coffee was really very bad! My Haferlkaffe was on the bigger cup and tasted like 1 very low qualified espresso with a lot of hot water and extra a very small portion of milk. The taste was really dreadful and I was really very disappointed! The cup of coffee "Großer Brauner" was also not tasty with one single liquid coffee creamer like in a food trucks restaurants.
The Apfelstrudel was not fresh, the portion was small and the taste was like it was backed a week ago. Just the Mohr im Hemd was not so bad. Unfortunately I highly do NOT recommend this restaurant for coffee and Strudel lovers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Better view of the city than the fortress in my opinion. The walk is much harder but the reward is amazing. You have to stop at the restaurant in the old Garrison and have a Stiegl and some strudel. I would describe this place and walk as peaceful, quiet and tranquil. Warning the hike up to the top is not for the weak of body or mind. ( Photo taken from sitting position at my table.)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a hike through the woods it is a very pleasant spot to stop for a warm drink and a great piece of cake while enjoying the sun in a beautiful and calm terrassse. Also, probably the best apfelstrudel I’ve ever had.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small, beautiful, defensive castle transformed in an inn/restaurant at the end of a spectacular hike/path through the forest.
The prices are decent, the desserts are great and you should try some local refreshments.
The staff speaks English and is very helpful and amiable.
You can also book some rooms for the night and even have your own wedding party in this beautiful place.
Be advised that the place gets crowded fast.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are some informations about the city's history. And also a restaurant inside. Excellent for people who enjoy a hiking in the woods! Amazing sightseeing of the town on the top (almost 2 km walking)! We went during Summer. Restrooms available for free.
