L	Leah on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die Führung ist wirklich sehr ausführlich und gut verständlich erklärt. Auch Modelle und kleine Filmchen werden zwischendurch gezeigt. Alles im allen eine gute Führung. The guide is really very detailed and easy to explain. Even models and little movies are shown in between. All in all a good guide.

Höhepunkt der Führung ist die Besichtigung des Maschinenraumes, wo drei der ingesamt sieben Turbinen zu sehen sind. Diese Monter haben einen Durchmesser von 10 Metern! Die Leistung von 30-40MW pro Turbine muss eben irdendwo herkommen. Auf den beigefügten Bildern ist ein ausgebauter Stator zu sehen, dessen Masse beträgt 140t. Klare Empfehlung für einen Schlechtwettertag in der Wachau! Very interesting tour of the Ybbs-Persenbeug visitor power station. Lots of information about the history and construction of the power plant. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the engine room, where three of the seven turbines can be seen. These monters have a diameter of 10 meters! The power of 30-40MW per turbine has to come from somewhere. On the attached pictures you can see a dismantled stator, the mass of which is 140t. A clear recommendation for a bad weather day in the Wachau!

Hier muss man erwähnen, dass man vom Kraftwerk mit dem eigenen PKW über die Brücke fahren muss, dort hoffentlich auf dem kleinen Parkplatz einen freien Platz ergattert, um anschließend zur Schleuse zu gehen. Wobei das aufregendste das Schleusen eines Schiffes darstellt. - was man aber auch ohne Führung von der Brücke aus beobachten kann. - wenn man, so wie wir Glück hatten und ein Schiff kam. It seems to be a mess: the more you post, the more it seems to disappear! If this is a Google rule then it is actually pointless to do so much work because ultimately you will be so "sabotaged"!
